The Alternative to Snow

We, and some of the other North American families around here, now that we are in the sweaty throws of the warm season, have decided we miss winter, and specifically the snow.  Now, I know, I know, if we were at our respective North American homes we would be grumbling about the constant shoveling and desperately searching for the first robin and daffodils and other signs of spring.  However, since we missed the snow and snow activities this winter in Newfoundland, Washington State and New York, we came up with a creative alternative winter sport.  Pine Needle Sledding!!  One of those crazy things the ex-pats do and the Nepalis just stare and shake their heads at the insanity.  It is hotter, and dirtier than snow sledding, and with more holes in pants, but a great time none the less.
